国外总结之二:印度•Guru Nanack工程学校•海德拉巴

    推广:我们进行了很多推广活动,如填表、电影放映和课堂宣言等。主要的推广通过在Facebook的GPR主页更新进行,并已经有1300学生注册,以平均每天20人的速度。团队做了一个3英尺x 2英尺的海报,内容包含节约资源行动和采用环保能源,张贴在绕行城市的39辆公交车上,引起了数以千计的市民和学生的注意。一个8英尺x11英尺的GPR海报也放在了主楼的入口。
    活动:以人工造林、垃圾收集和回收利用为重点进行的活动引起了近900名学生的校园的积极参与。以可再生能源和循环利用为主题的研讨会和嘉宾讲座也在同学之间看到了很高的出席率。我们发起了一个活动:在教室和宿舍室内种植植物净化空气,给人以回归自然的感受。这些植物是Greenades,校园环境组,提供的,象征着拯救环境。进行的最困难的任务是回收来自全校的308公斤的废纸并送往循环再造。收集的废物活动共收集了包括焦罐和塑料等形式的70公斤的废物,以及我们在食堂、文具部门和宿舍附近放置的收集塑料和废纸袋(巧克力包装纸,塑料盖,塑料水瓶等)等废弃物的回收袋。活动是由住宿青年领导的,并最后变得引人注目。这促成了720多名学生在绿质押保护,节约,循环使用等活动中的积极回应。
我们对在GPR项目这些天内看到的成果和变化感到非常有激情,即使比赛结束,我们也将继续向前的接力棒并且承诺创建一个以GREENADES命名的对青年思维方式的彻底改变!

Report: (1) Outreach: We conducted many outreach activities like Tabling, Film Screening and announcement in classes. Major outreach was achieved via Facebook updates on GNEC-Great Power Race page, which currently has 1300 students signed up and growing by an average of 20 students every day. The team put up a 3ft x 2ft poster containing actions to conserve resources & adopt eco-friendly resources on 39 buses plying all through the city’s arterial roads gathering attention of thousands of citizens including students. A massive 8ft x11ft poster of the GPR logo was put up on the main block entrance.

(2) Events: Focused events on sapling plantation, waste collection and recycling were conducted that drew active participation of close to 900 students from the campus. Seminars and the guest lectures that were conducted on renewable energy and recycling also saw a huge turnout of students. We initiated a drive of growing indoor plants in class rooms and dormitories to purify the air and give the feel of being amidst nature. The plants are a symbol of dedication from the Greenades, the campus environment group, to save the environment. The most difficult task undertaken was the collection of 308 kgs of waste paper from across the campus and sent for recycling. The wastes collection drive conducted gathered 70 kgs of wastes in the form of coke tins and plastic wastes and the we placed some bags near canteen, stationery and in Departments and the students are to drop their plastic and paper waste in the bags (chocolate wrappers, plastic covers, and plastic water bottles etc).

Events were conducted for hostel residents, which turned out to be a crowd puller. This created a positive impact in terms of 720 odd students taking the Green Pledge-preserve, conserve, recycle.

We are enthused by the results and change we saw in the few days of the Great Power Race program and we will carry the baton forward even as the Great Power Race ends and promise to create a radical change in the mindsets of the youth in the name of “GREENADES”!!
